The problem arose when a new alfresco was installed next to an existing workshop and left a gap between the roofs of the two structures. During heavy rain, the alfresco area flooded as a result of water landing on the work shop roof which had no gutters – therefore it would pour down through the gap of the two buildings.
A colour bond flashing was custom designed and manufactured. The flashing was designed so that it could be installed under the existing flashing on the work shop. This directed any rain water from the work shop roof to run across into the gutters on the alfresco and then off into the existing soak wells thus preventing any further flooding.
